HOME SWAP STORIES, SIMPLY SUSTAINABLE, and CLIMATE CAFE will be hosting a Susty at Home panel, Sustainable Household Item Swap, and a listening circle, focused on the importance of taking individual action inside your home.

These New Yorkers have some creative sustainable living practices! Get inspired by the way they find secondhand furniture, create their own food sources, and save energy.
YELLE BELLE (moderator) is a residential real estate marketer and host of Home Swap Stories, an interview series for New Yorkers who live sustainably at home. Each panelist has been featured in the series!
KATERINA BOGATIREVA is the founder of Precycle, NYC’s first zero-waste grocery store.
JASMINE HARRISON is the founder of Green Events Hub, a curated weekly newsletter of green events across NYC.

Sustainable Household Item Swap
Have too many reusable straws? Don't like your produce bags? Swap your sustainable household items & chat about your sustainable lifestyle.
This is like a Clothing Swap for household items. If your plastic-free sponge isn't right for you, drop it off so it can be taken to a new home. Maybe you'll find some reusable cutlery or an extra to-go mug. You can bring a few items and take a few items. You can also arrive with nothing and leave with something :)
Rules of the Swap
Please bring 0-5 sustainable household items. You don't have to bring anything, but if you do, only bring a max of 5 items that you would love to find during the swap yourself. Were you gifted something you already had? Are you just not using something? Swap it!
Sustainable household items include, but are not limited to:
🥫 Kitchen gadgets (i.e. composter)
🧼 Bathroom goodies (i.e. soap bars)
✨ Cleaning essentials (i.e. toilet pods)
🥤 To-go things (i.e. reusable cutlery)
Donations
🫶 Items that have not been claimed will be donated to Housing Works.
Climate Cafe
Gather round with CLIMATE CAFE NYC, the social home of climate action. Get help facing your climate anxiety and connect with impactful local organizers. Climate cafes are listening circles for your climate-linked emotions.
The topic of this listening circle is "Sense of Home." Climate Cafe will help you transform complex feelings associated with displacement and injustice. Together in community, we can make our home a better place to live.
Simply Sustainable
SIMPLY SUSTAINABLE is a community that’s all about sustainable living. The mission is to make living like this simple and accessible — hosting monthly community calls, in-person events, and more.
